Apply for Grant/Internship
Don Snook's legacy has been honored by establishing a memorial education fund in his name, dedicated to supporting "real world" work opportunities for students in our area. For 2010, a $2500 grant will be awarded to a local not for profit organization to partially support one paid internship position for a graduate or undergraduate student. Internships may be structured on a full-time or part-time basis.
HLNDV is currently accepting applications for this award from interested employers. Eligible organizations must be not-for-profit 501(c)3 healthcare organization with principal business location within the HLNDV membership area, including Delaware, South Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania. Organizations may work with HLNDV through its academic relationships to identify qualified students through an interview process, or may apply with a student already selected. A selection committee has been established to review the applications. Funding will be awarded to the organization that, in the committee's view, will be able to provide the most valuable professional experience to the intern.
If you are interested in applying for funding, please complete the attached application and submit it to snookeducation@hlndv.org. The application deadline is January 31, 2009.
