HLNDV Transitions to Unified Chapter Relationship with ACHE
The Healthcare Leadership Network of the Delaware Valley's Board of Directors is pleased to announce the formal transition of our chapter to a fully unified relationship with the American College of Healthcare Executives as of October 1, 2008. The change reflects a national effort to more fully integrate ACHE affiliates with independent regional chapters. Over the past 18 months, members of the HLNDV Board performed thoughtful analysis and due diligence to consider the implications of the change in our chapter's relationship with ACHE.
Good news to HLNDV members: HLNDV will maintain the autonomy to develop and deliver outstanding educational, career development, and networking programs at the local level. The primary change is the unification of the membership process with ACHE, and the elimination of separate annual dues to maintain membership in HLNDV.
This change marks the beginning of an exciting period for our organization as HLNDV will serve as the local chapter for ACHE affiliates who have a base of employment in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and the state of Delaware. As a result of this transition, our chapter membership will expand to over 800 members. We welcome all ACHE affiliates and look forward to engaging our entire membership in future events and programs.
How Does This Affect My Membership in HLNDV?
If you are a current member of ACHE, your membership in HLNDV is automatic if your employer is based in our geographical region. No separate dues are required by HLNDV.
If you are not a current member of ACHE, you are required to register for membership with ACHE in order to maintain active membership status in HLNDV. HLNDV will no longer accept dues directly for membership.
Current HLNDV members who elect not to join ACHE are welcome to participate in future HLNDV events as a non-member.
If you have specific questions about the chapter transition and how it affects you as a member, please contact our Membership & Marketing committee at Membership@hlndv.org or feel free to contact a Board member at www.hlndv.org.
