Mentorship Program

The Healthcare Leadership Network of the Delaware Valley (HLNDV) provides a Mentoring Program to expand opportunities for learning and professional development for members at all levels, including students, early careerists, executives in transition, and senior executives. It is designed to promote professionalism and leadership in healthcare management, as well as greater involvement in HLNDV.

Serving as a Mentor provides an opportunity to play a direct role in the professional development of the next generation of healthcare leaders. Sharing insights from personal experiences and “lessons learned” as a one-on-one advisor supports the growth of the Mentee, while adding to the leadership portfolio of the Mentor.

Mentees benefit from the practical guidance and perspective offered by their Mentor, and the opportunity to achieve specific development goals while developing a relationship that will expand their professional network, a key driver in career advancement.

The Mentoring Program is intende
d to be a traditional one-to-one mentoring experience. Mentoring partnerships initially will be established with a specific purpose and for a limited time. Successful mentoring partners are encouraged to continue their relationship as long as they wish.

The Mentorship Program also includes HLNDV on Board, a unique opportunity to pursue interests in not-for-profit community service organizations. Members who are currently serving on a board or committee for a not-for-profit organization serve as a mentor for a fellow HLNDV member. As a mentor, you would introduce your HLNDV colleague to the responsibilities of working with the organization, look for opportunities to get them involved with your organization, and perhaps, over time, have them apply to join your board or committee. Enroll now in the HLNDV on Board program. Questions about the On Board Program?

To locate a Mentor, please complete our online Mentee Profile. (You must be an HLNDV Member to have access to this form.)

If you are interested in serving as a Mentor, please complete our online Mentor Profile.

The profile provides essential information for creating promising matches between volunteer mentors and mentee applicants. After an appropriate match is made with the approval of both mentor and mentee, the Mentorship Program committee will help launch the relationship through a facilitated introduction. Additionally, HLNDV will provide representatives to assist participating mentors and mentees in developing, conducting and assessing their mentoring partnerships. However, HLNDV will not attempt to manage or mediate relationships once a partnership is established.
